More about high performance coaching
Program Design
-
Tailored to the specific requirements of the performance context, this detailed self-awareness debrief enables participants to gain an understanding of the strengths and potential weaknesses that their individual traits, skills and experiences bring to the performance context. Exploring areas such as Mental Toughness, Emotional Intelligence, behaviour and cognition, participants obtain a clear picture of their performance potential and possible barriers, allowing for targeted performance development goal setting.
-
During this stage, participants turn their focus to Mental Toughness exploration and development. Through a range of targeted individual and/or group activities, the concepts of ‘confidence’, ‘challenge’, ‘commitment’ and ‘control’, are explored, allowing participants to recognise their current level of Mental Toughness and prioritise development areas to support high-performance.
-
In situations where team performance is a priority, team cohesion and development sessions take place, supporting the alignment of individual and team priorities, driving greater team cohesion, empathy and the enhancement of individual and team strengths.
-
Through one-on-one coaching, we explore the many factors that impact/support high performance, including personal skills, abilities and experiences, personal cognitive structures, environmental factors and performance demands. Focusing on performance preparation and rehearsal, we build on existing strengths whilst tackling the weaknesses that can get in the way of performance.
-
This stage allows for reflection on levels of performance achieved during the performance stage, with a focus on continuous maintenance and/or enhancement of performance.

Testimonials
“The mental resilience group session prior to [performance stage] helped all of us understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses and gave us knowledge on how to use our strengths during performance. We have ongoing group sessions with those likely to be on the next course. These have been very helpful in understanding each other and increasing group cohesion.” - Jack
“This program helped me understand the personal traits/skills I need to improve on but also acknowledge what I'm doing well in the lead up to [performance event].” - Program Participant
“We worked together on group activities in the build up to my [performance stage]. Those group activities were pivotal in creating a strong bond between my comrades, and developing strategies to use when the stressors came to the fore. It is fair to assume that the presence of these strategies played an integral part in my mental preparation for [performance stage].” – Program participant
“Fran, and his group sessions, have allowed us a safe place to truly get to know one another, allowing the group to engage with one another and bringing questions, icebreakers, and influencing thoughtfulness and productive engagement between the group has allowed for us to bond immensely. Seeing some of the quieter, more introverted, group members blossom thanks to Fran’s influence has brought us much closer than previous courses. This bond will help us combat adversity together and work together on a more personal level, but more importantly, it will help us care for one another.” - Rodney
